PLN to get additional gas supply for Java, Sumatra power plants

State electricity firm PLN said its two power plants in South Sumatra and Banten will receive gas supply by the end of this month.

PLN?s senior official Nasri Sebayang said Cilegon 740-MW power plant will receive additional 30MMCFD of supply from state gas distribution firm PGN. PGN, he said, gets the gas from ConocoPhillips? Corridor block onshore South Sumatra.

PGN will supply gas to Cilegon for 10 years, he said.

PLN?s Keramasan power plant in South Sumatra, which is currently at commissioning stage, will receive 20MMCFD of gas supply from South Sumatra producer PT.Medco E&P Indonesia.(bernard)
