PLN's president director Dahlan Iskan said that under the sales and purchase agreement signed with Energi Sengkang recently, the state electricity company would buy electricity from Sengkang at US$0.614 or Rp 600 per kilowatt hour (kWh).
?It is quite good price,? he said, adding that with such a price agreement, PLN would be able to get a profit margin of Rp 70 per kWh because PLN?s power price at consumers level reached Rp 670 per kWh.
PLN director for procurement Bagiyo Ridwan said that it was the second purchase and sales agreement signed with Energi Sengkang. ?PLN had previously signed an agreement to buy 195 megawatt from the company,? he added.
Bagiyo said that PLN would receive 60 MW of the additional power supply in September, next year. The other 60 MW is expected to go on stream in September, 2012. (*)
