Pamudji noted that PLN needed additional coal supplies for contingency stock. ?We haven?t yet decided about the volume. But at least we plan to have a contingency stock that can meet at least 10 percent of our total needs this year,? he said, adding that the coal should be of low-rank quality.
He said that PLN?s total coal needs this year amount about 30 million tons, and the coal supply could be piled up for two or three years? need. (bernard)
