PLN to install new diesel generators in Riau, Riau Islands

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN has allocated Rp 721 billion to install new diesel power generators in Riau and Riau Islands provinces with combined capacity of 81.3 MW to electricity remote villages, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Friday.
The paper quoted Manager for General Affairs and Human Resources at PLN Riau and Riau Islands regional office as saying that the new diesel generators will be installed by the end of next month.
He said that 42 units of diesel generator will be installed in Riau with combined capacity of 35.8 MW, and 84 units with combined capacity of 45.5 MW in Riau Islands. (*)
