PLN to obtain Rp 1.4t in additional income from 2nd tariff increase

The state-owned electricity company PLN said that the 22.4 percent increase in electricity tariff starting October 1, 2001 would provide an additional Rp 1.4 ?1.5 trillion (US$1=Rp 9,075) income.
PLN president Eddie Widiono was quoted by the Bisnis Indonesia daily as saying that PLN was expected to obtain a total of Rp 2.2 trillion in additional income from two tariff increase in 2001.(*)
