PLN to open coal bidding process in 2015

Indonesia state electricity company, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) said that the company would offer bidding for coal supply in 2015.
Helmi Najamudin, Head of Coal Division said that PLN has already secured 85.2 million tons of coal contract until 2014.
"PLN will start bidding for purchasing coal in 2015," he said on his presentation at HIPMI's dialog program on Wednesday.
Helmi added that PLN's need for coal in 2013 was about 66.3 million tons.
Started in 2018, PLN will require more than 100 million ton.
Meanwhile, the first phase of 10,000 MW power plants project is expected to commence operation started in 2014.
