PLN to open fuel supply tender December

State electricity firm PLN said on Tuesday it would stick to plan to conduct open tender to procure 1 million kiloliters of HSD for 2008 delivery.

CEO Eddie Widiono said that PLN would open the tender in December as part of the plan to find cheaper alternative than current monopoly supplier state oil and gas company PT.Pertamina.

Eddie said in 2008, PLN would need 10 million kiloliters of fuel for its power plants across the country. (godang/bernard)
