PLN to open PQ bidding for Pasuruan power plant January

State electricity firm PLN said it would open tender for development of Pasuruan combined cycle power plant in January next year.

PLN director Ali Herman Ibrahim said Friday that the East Java power plant would have the capacity of 500MW.

The plant is scheduled to commence production in 2010, with development costs estimated at US$500 million.

Gas supply for the project is expected to be supplied from Husky Energy-operated Madura BD gas fields. (alex)
