PLN to sell pre-paid cards to seasonal customers

State owned electricity company PLN will introduce pre-paid cards later this year to tap the growing number of seasonal buyers in the country, Neraca daily reported on Thursday.
PLN's corporate secretary Harry Jaya said in Jakarta on Wednesday that with the new subscribing system, the customers could limit the use of the energy in accordance with the types of the pre-paid they bought.
He said that the pre-paid cards would allow the customers to use the energy from between 300 kWh, 400 kWh and 500 kWh. "With such options, the users can use energy according to their needs," he added.
According to him, the main buyers of the pre-paid cards would comprise owners of resort houses in major tourist destinations especially in Bali. "That's why, the pre-paid cards will firstly introduced in several areas in Bali, including Gianyar, Kuta and Denpasar," he added. (*)
