State-owned electricity firm PT PLN is trying to quickly complete construction of emergency transmission towers following last week?s collapse of the 150 kV Isimu Tower No 6 in Gorontalo.
PLN said in a statement that the three emergency towers arrived in Gorontalo late Tuesday, and that construction work is expected to be completed in seven days.
PLN said that the emergency towers are needed as the development of permanent tower will take much longer time.
The company said that there will be rotating blackouts in the Marisa region before the emergency towers are completed as for the time being, the Marisa gas-fired power plant is isolated.
