PLN to sign coal contracts on Wednesday

State owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) will sign on Wednesday contracts with several coal producers for coal supplies to power plant projects to be built under the 10,000 MW crash program.
PLN’s deputy director for generation and primary energy Tonny Agus Mulyantono said on Tuesday that the contracts that will be signed on Wednesday are for coal supplies to four power projects that is the 1x 660 MW Jatim II power plant in Paiton, Probolinggo, East Java; the 1x600 MW Banten 1 power plant in Suralaya, Banten; the 2x 316 MW Banten II power plant in Labuhan, Banten; and the 3x330 MW Jabar I power plant in Indramayu, West Java.
The contracts will be signed with coal producers Arutmin, Titian Kasih Industri and Bara Multi.
“The draft contract with Arutmin has been completed but the contracts with the two other companies are being drafted. Hopefully, we can sign all the contracts tomorrow (Wednesday),” Tonny said. (Godang)
