PLN to sign two gas purchase contracts

State-owned electricity company PLN is scheduled to sign two gas sales and purchase contracts today (Friday), according to Head of Fuel and Gas at PLN, Suryadi Mardjoeki.

PLN will sign the Kepodang gas sales and purchase agreement with Petronas Carigali Muriah Ltd. The Kepodang field will supply PLN with 116 mmscfd of gas at a price of US$4.61 per mmbtu until 2026.

The second contract will be signed by PLN and Energy Equity Epic Sengkang for the sales and purchase of 15 bbtud of gas at a price of $3.5 per mmbtu until 2022.

Gas from Kepodang will be used to fire up the PLN Tambak Lorok power plant, while gas from Sengkang to be used in the Sengkang power plant in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
