State-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) said it will use state capital injection worth Rp 13 trillion to help settle the company?s tax liabilities totaling up to Rp 19 trillion.

PLN President Director Sofyan Basir said that another Rp 6 trillion will come from the company?s own funds.

"The PMN will be used to pay taxes, while we will pay the remaining tax of Rp 6 trillion," said Sofyan on Tuesday, referring to the Bahasa abbreviation for state capital injection. The company is expected to receive capital injection from the government totaling Rp 13 trillion this year.
