PLN, TSK to build coal dryer facility in Rembang

Indonesian State Electricity Company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) through subsidiary PT PLN Batubara, cooperating with Japan engineering company Tsukishima Techno Machinery co.Ltd (TSK) recently stated to construct a coal drying facility in Rembang, Central Java to support an existing coal fired power plant in the area.
PLN's head of Coal Division Hilmi Najamudin stated the facility should be able to increase coal calorific value by 1.000 kcal/kg.
Expecting to complete the feasibility study this year, Hilmi stated it will take at least 15 months to finish the construction of the facility.
