PLN, UBE hold sub-sea pipeline development tender

PT PLN Batam and PT Universal Batam Energy (UBE) are inviting bids in a tender for the development and installation of 13.5 km sub-sea pipeline, which will link its currently under development gas-fired power plant (PLTGU) Tanjung Ucang in Batam and onshore receiving facilities (ORF) in Pemping island, both are within Riau Islands.
The two companies said the winner will operate under the built-operation-transfer (BOT) scheme. Interested parties can register and get pre-qualification documents on June 5-11.
The two companies are also developing the power plant which will have generating capacity of 100-120 megawatt (MW).
