PLN unit to build coal-fired plant in E. Kalimantan

PT PLN Tarakan, a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), plans to build a coal-fired power plant under an independent power producer (IPP) scheme in Tarakan, East Kalimantan.
The company said Friday that the planned 2x7 MW plant, will help resolve the electricity crisis in Tarakan.
