PLN, VICO signs CBM sale purchase agreement

State utility company PT PLN on Friday signed a sale and purchase agreement with energy firm Virginia Indonesia Co. CBM Limited (VICO).
Under the deal, PLN will purchase coal bed methane (CBM) from VICO?s coal bed methane field in Sanga Sanga, East Kalimantan, at the amount of 0.5 MMSCFD for a period of five years.
The agreement signing was witnessed by the Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik.
The agreement is considered as milestone in the utilization of CBM for power generation in Indonesia. (roffie/romel)
