PLTGU Gorontalo on stream in February 2016

State owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) targets its 25x4 MW combined cycle power plant in Gorontalo to come onstream next February.

A source at state owned construction firm PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero), the EPC contractor of the project, told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that the EPC works of PLTGU Gorontalo has progressed around 45 percent.

?First COD (Commercial Operation Date) is expected to be achieved at the end of December 2015 and the second COD in February 2016,? he said, adding two power units with a combined capacity 50 MW will enter the grid system in each of the CODs.

Investment for the project totals around Rp 453 billion and US$ 88.5 million
