PLTP Cisolok-Sukarame to begin operation in 2017

State electricity company PLN has targeted PLTP Cisolok-Sukarame geothermal power plant in Sukabumi, West Java to begin commercial operation in 2017.
PLN?s Senior Manager for New and Renewable Energy Anang Yahmadi said that PLTP Cisolok-Sukarame power plant is currently being built by independent power producer PT Jabar Rekind Geothermal.
?The electricity sale contract is currently under negotiation,? he said, adding that PLN might buy electricity from the power plant at a price of Rp 630 per kilowatt hour (kWh).
PLTP Cisolok-Sukarame power plant is expected to produce 50 megawatt of electricity supply. About 2.5 percent of the power supply will be transmitted for Sukabumi area and the rest to the Java-Bali interconnection network.
