?The developer is now doing a pre-feasibility study and it hasn?t yet completed it,? said Anang Yahmadi, the senior manager of geothermal at PLN Division of New and Renewable Energy.
He said that the price agreed by developer and PLN was 8.58 US cents per kilowatt hour (kWh).
The 2 x 55 MW geothermal power plant will need a total investment of US$280 million. It was started to be developed in 2011 and expected to fulfill the rising need of electricity in East Java province.
