PLTP Patuha declared as national vital object

The government, through Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 7100/K/93/MM/2017, has declared the unit 1 of PLTP Patuha geothermal power plant in West Java, with capacity of 60 MW, as a national vital object.

?Declaring the PLTP Patuha as a national vital object is an anticipation of security in the energy and mineral resources sector that must be taken toward potential disturbances affected by a number of factors including demography, geography, and social and culture,? said Endang Iswandini, Corporate Secretary of PT Geo Dipa Energi, the owner of the power plant, in a statement on Thursday.

The statement said that the national vital object status has been effective since September 20 of this year.
