PLTU Anggrek needs 158,000 tons coal per year

The steam power plant (PLTU) Anggrek in Gorontalo Utara regency of Gorontalo province needs a supply of coal at 158,000 tons per year.
The coal need is based on the power plant?s generation capacity of 2 x 25 megawatt (MW).
?The coal for this steam power plant will be supplied by, among others, PT DGL and a consortium of PT Oktasan,? Helmi Najamuddin, state utility PT PLN?s Coal Division Head, told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Monday.
The PLTU project, which is being built by PT Rekadaya Elektrika, is targeted to start commercial operation at the end of 2014.
It is expected to fulfill the power need of Gorontalo region.
