PLTU Bima projected to come onstream end of 2014

The 2x10 MW PLTU Bima coal fired power plant project in Bima regency, West Nusatenggara (NTB) is projected to come onstream in December this year, the Directorate General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said in a statement obtained Thursday.
The information was provided by Andi Lakipapadah, General Manager of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) for the NTB province during the visit of Director General of Electricity Jarman.
According to Andi, the Unit I of PLTU Bima is targeted to come onstream on Sept.14, 2013, to be followed by the Unit 2 on Dec.14, 2014.
The development of the project was once stopped due to the financial difficulties experienced by the previous contractor. Now, the development of the project is handled by PT Rekadaya Elektrika, according to Andi.
