PLTU Holtekamp unit 2 to start operation soon

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN plans to soon start operation of the second unit of a 1x10 MW coal-fired power plant (PLTU) in Holtekamp, Jayapura, Papua Province.
Haryanto WS, PLN Director of Business for Papua and Maluku regions, said on Wednesday that construction progress of the unit 2 has reached 95 percent.
The first unit of the Holtekamp coal-fired power plant has recently started operation. The project is the first coal-fired power plant in Papua.
