State-owned engineering and construction company PT Barata Indonesia said that the PLTU Jeranjang coal-fired power plant unit 2 with capacity of 25 MW is on track to begin operation in April 2017.
Silmy Karim, President Director of Barata Indonesia told Petromindo.com on Monday that the PLTU Jeranjang unit 2, located in Lombok Barat Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, is currently in the completion stage.
"We are in the completion stage and everything is on schedule, and we expect to be on stream in April 2017," he said.
The first unit, also with capacity of 25 MW, started operation earlier this year. Barata is the EPC contractor of the power plant project, owned by state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.
