PLTU Pelabuhan Ratu Unit 2 to operate in September

State electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) expects the second unit of PLTU Pelabuhan Ratu coal-fired power plant (PLTU Pelabuhan Ratu Unit 2) will begin commercial operation in September, this year.

PLTU Pelabuhan Ratu has three units with a capacity of 1x350 megawatt each. The first unit has begun commercial operation earlier this year, the second unit in September, this year and the third unit next year.

?PLTU Pelabuhan Ratu Unit 2 is expected to begin commercial operation in September,? said Helmi Najamuddin, the head of PLN?s coal division.

The power plant is built by Shanghai Electric Group Corp Ltd and PT Maxima Infrastruktur as part of the first 10,000 megawatt power plant development program.
