PLTU Pulang Pisau to start commercial operation soon

The first unit of the 2x60 MW PLTU Pulang Pisang coal fired power plant owned by state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PLN) is expected to soon start commercial operation as trial operation on the unit is now near completion.
The power plant project, located in Buntoi Village, Kahayan Hilir District, Kuala Kapuas regency, Central Kalimantan Province, is being built with an investment worth Rp 1.9 trillion.
PLN?s General Manager for South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan areas Purnomo was quoted by Antara as saying on Tuesday that the trial operation on the first unit of the power plant will be completed this week. Thereafter, the power plant will start commercial operation.
In a statement released in June of this year, PLN projected the power plant will start commercial at end-July. (*)
