PLTU Tenayan to start commercial operation in May

PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali, a subsidiary of PLN, stated that PLTU Tenayan coal fired power plant with a capacity of 2x100 MW in Pekanbaru, the capital of Riau province, is expected to achieve Commercial Operation Date (COD) in May 2016.
Company internal magazine Info PJB says that Unit 1 of the power plant is scheduled to start commercial operation in May 2016 and Unit 2 in June 2016.
The magazine said that the construction of Unit 1 of the power plant has reached 85 percent of completion while Unit 2 has been 72 percent completed.
The power plant is being built to meet the power needs of Pekanbaru.
