Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) will soon dispatch a special team to hold talks with state oil and gas Pertamina about the possibility of developing gas supply in the Donggi and Senoro fields in Central Sulawesi for its receiving terminal in the Philippines, a source told Petromindo.com on Monday.

PNOC?s move is to follow up on last week?s Memorandum of Understanding signed by that company and Pertamina, the Pertamina official told Petromindo.Com. The team will arrive in Indonesia on Jan. 16, the source added.

The source said in addition to developing cooperation with Pertamina in the gas sector, PNOC will also study geothermal diversification in Indonesia.

The source added the MOU signed by Pertamina and PNOC last week did not mention the price of gas to be pipelined from Donggi and Senoro to the Philippines. The agreement also did not mention when the delivery of the gas will commence, the source said.

Pertamina said last year the Donggi and Senoro had potential reserves of 5 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of gas. (godang)
