PoD for CNOOC?s Batanghari reviewed by SKK Migas

The first Plan of Development (PoD) for Batanghari block in Jambi which is operated by Chinese firm CNOOC Ltd is still being reviewed by upstream authority SKK Migas.

This was said by Director of Oil and Gas at Ministry of Energy and Miineral Resources to Petromindo.com.

SKK Migas said back in February 2013, that the firm had drilled four wells, namely Kenanga 1, Matahari 1, Kenanga 2 and Kenanga 3. All the wells were dry, except for Kenanga 1, where discovery was made at carbonate basement.

CNOOC Batanghari Ltd owns 87 percent of Batanghari block with the balance owned by PT Gregory Gas Perkasa.
