POFD for Rindu Area-7 approved

Upstream authority BPMIGAS has approved Plan of Further Development (POFD) for Rindu Area-7 project in Duri field in Riau, operated by PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI), a top executive said.

Haposan Napitupulu, Deputy of Development at BPMIGAS, told petromindo.com that with the approval, there would be an additional production from the field in the second semester of the year by around 3,730 barrels of oil per day.

POFD is basically an advanced development scheme on the same structure in an oil and gas field that has previously been in production, where all exploration and production commitments under a POD has already been approved and implemented.
