PoFD for Tangguh train 3 submitted

British firm BP Plc, the leader of Tangguh consortium, has submitted its Plan of Further Development (PoFD) for the Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua, according to upstream authority BPMIGAS.

The PoFD is mainly to accommodate a plan by BP and its partners to build the third LNG train at the site.

?It was submitted Wednesday (September 12). We are now evaluating the proposal,? Deputy of Planning Widiyawan Prawiraatmadja told petromindo.com.

Widiyawan declined to elaborate further. ?The approval will depend on the comprehensiveness of supporting data and the contractor?s readiness to work in synergy with BPMIGAS.?

The Tangguh train 3 facility will have a capacity of 3.8 million tons per annum, about 40 percent of which to be dedicated to the domestic market. It is expected to come on stream in 2018.
