Polaris wins KEPCO coal shipping tender

Polaris has secured a tender from Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) for a Panamax vessel with a capacity of 80,000 tonnes to transport coal from Tanjung Bara Coal Terminal (TBCT) in Indonesia to Dangjin, South Korea.

The laycan is scheduled for April 1–5, 2026, with freight reportedly fixed at around $12.82 per dmt on an FIO basis, according to BigMint.
