Police close down Kideco road access

The police have closed down road access of coal miner PT Kideco Jaya Agung (KJA) in Batusopang District, Pasir Regency, East Kalimanta, since Tuesday, Antara reported.

The road shut down is made as the police are probing a fraud case in land transaction.

KJA spokesman Agus Subagyo confirmed that one lane of the road used as access to transport coal from the mine to the port has been closed down by the police.

He said this has caused the company to be unable to transport its coal output optimally.

He feared this would eventually affect coal supply to power plants in Java, Bali and Kalimantan. (*)
