Police find key suspect in Newmont bombing

The police has found the main suspect in the two bombings which hit the Newmont Nusa Tenggara (NNT) office in West Nusa Tenggara recently, according to a report carried by Bali Pos on Saturday.
Informed sources told the daily that the police had found a former employee of the mining company as the mastermind of the bombing. The man was used to preparing explosives for the company's mining activities before he left the company.
The chief of the regional police in the province, Yonni Yodjana, however could not unveil the name of the main suspect, saying that an intensive investigation was being carried out to find the possible involvement of the former Newmont employee.
He said he hoped the police would soon find the mastermind of the two bombings.
Meanwhile, the daily said that the police in Mataram forced four witnesses in the bombing case to take oath after they gave inconsistent information.(*)
