Police raid MIGAS office over corruption case

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police raided on Thursday the office of the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (MIGAS) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to find evidence in relation to its investigation over alleged corruption in a mini LPG plant project in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra Province.
The police said in a statement that the mini LPG plant project, worth Rp 99.02 billion, was financed by the state budget allocated to the ministry?s MIGAS in the 2013-2014 period. The multi-year project was constructed by PT Hokasa Mandiri.
The police said that during the raid, it gathered various documents, transaction letters, laptops, computers, discs, and mobile phones related to the project.
In October of this year, the police named one official of MIGAS with initials of DC as a suspect in the alleged corruption case.
Hokasa Mandiri won tender for construction of the mini LPG plant in September of 2013.
