Director General of Mineral and Coal R. Sukhyar said that the regulation is being revised to include description on the various forms of adding value for coal.
?The revised regulation will provide description on the various forms of adding value for focal such as coal gasification, liquefaction, and coal upgrading,? he said on Friday.
Sukhyar said that while the regulation would encourage miners to process coal to generate greater value added from the commodity, there will not be any sanction as it is not mandatory.
However, he said that the government will to provide incentive for miners investing in the processing of coal to generate greater value added, and will help them in getting the buyers for the processed products.
