A gas pipeline linking Porong - Grati in East Java which is operated by gas distribution company PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), is ready to flow gas to a power plant in Grati owned by state owned electricity firm PT PLN.
?The Porong-Grati pipeline has been filled with gas since October 28. So we are ready to flow its gas to PLN?s Grati (power plant),? SVP Gas and Power at Pertamina, Djohardi Angga Kusumah told Petromindo.com on Wednesday.
Previously, Pertagas Public Relations and CSR Manager Hatim Ilwan said that investment allocated for the project was about US$87 million. In the first phase, about 25 mmscfd of gas from the Peluang gas field operated by Santos will be distributed via the pipeline to industries in East Java. The pipeline has a capacity of up to 100 mmscfd, and is an open access status pipeline.
