Power projects included in top priority list

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution issued mid last month a new regulation listing 30 infrastructure projects including power as top priority, promising incentives to help accelerate construction process, Kontan reported Thursday.

A special team, comprising of experts, has been set up to help developers in accelerating the projects from pre-feasibility to funding, and from land acquisition to permitting procedure.

"Every problem will be resolved quickly. If it can not be resolved at ministerial level, it will be resolved directly by the president," said minister deputy for infrastructure Lucky E. Wuryanto.

The power projects included in the top priority list are PLTA Karangkates IV & V hydro power plant (2?50MW), PLTA Kesamben hydro power plant (37MW), PLTA Lodoyo hydro power plant (10MW), PLTU Indramayu II coal fired power plant (2?1000 MW), Sumatra Selatan 8,9,10 mine mouth power plants, high voltage direct current, PLTU Batang coal fired power plant, Sumatra 500 kV transmission, and Central-West Java transmission line 500 kV.(*)
