PP Energi wins Aceh power plant project

PT Pembangunan Perumahan Energi (PP Energi), a subsidiary of IDX-listed construction and engineering firm PT Pembangunan Perumahan Tbk (PP), has won tender held by state-owned electricity firm PT PLN to develop a 2x200 MW coal-fired power plant in Meulaboh, Aceh Province.

Director for Business Development at PT PP, Lukman Hidayat was quoted by detik.com as saying Friday that PP Energi will team up with a Chinese firm and another local company in the estimated Rp 8 trillion project. He did not disclose the identity of the partners.

?We have won tender of one of the power plant projects in Aceh. The value of the project is Rp 8 trillion, of which the portion of PP is Rp 2.5 trillion,? he said, adding that PLN is expected to make the official announcement soon. (*)
