PP eyes Rp 1 trillion power plant project in Batam

Indonesia-listed construction company PT PP Tbk (PP) will team up with PT Betasurya Tatagraha to bid for the construction of a coal-fired power plant with a capacity of 120 megawatt in Uncang, Batam.

?PP and Betasurya will form a consortium for the construction of the coal-fired power plant. PP will have a 60 percent stake in the consortium,? PP?s Corporate Secretary Betty Ariana told Investor Daily recently.

As of September, PP has secured new contracts worth Rp 8.2 trillion, a sharp increase from Rp 5.9 trillion as of last month.

?We won the Kalibaru project last month increasing the total new contracts to Rp 8.2 trillion. Our new contract target for this year is about Rp 16.8 trillion,? he said.

The new contracts comprise of the engineering, procurement and contruction (EPC) for PLTG Duri gas fired power plant in Riau with 100 MW capacity and total value of Rp 917 billion, the construction of Toll Pasteur with total value of Rp 81 billion, the Lampung-South Sumatra irrigation project worth Rp 59 billion, the Merah Putih bridge in Ambon worth Rp 125 billion and a road to Timor Leste worth Rp 134 billion.
