PPEJ begins using SF-05 product

JOB Pertamina-Petrochina East Java (PPEJ) has started using SF-05 product as a component in the production of oil base mud (OBM), which is used in drilling work at the Sukowati field in Bojenegoro, East Java.
The company said in a statement received Wednesday that the SF-05, which is claimed to have various advantages such as environmentally friendly, safe, less use of other additive materials, and price competitiveness, was initially used as a mixing component with imported base oil in the production of OBM for drilling at the Sukowati#17 well.
The use of the imported base oil will be gradually phased out, with the outlook that SF-05 will be fully used in the drilling of Sukowati#24 well.
?So far there has been no obstacle nor difficulties in the production of OBM by using SF-05,? said Muhammad Gega, Liquid Mud Plant Supervisor at China Oil Service Limited, which provides drilling service for the product.
