Premier gets joint study licences

UK independent oil, gas firm Premier Oil reported on Wednesday that it has been awarded joint study participation for three blocks in North Sumatra (East Asahan), East Kalimantan (East Bengkanai) and offshore NW Java (North Merak).

Studies include reprocessing of seismic data and acquisition of gravity data, the company said.

Under the Indonesian exploration acreages award system, the company would have first right to obtain the blocks should it decides to proceed to explore the blocks. (alex)
