Premier Oil Natuna Sea B.V, a unit of UK oil and gas firm Premier Oil plc, plans to spud two wells within the Tuna block in Riau Archipelago in March and June of 2014 respectively, according to an official at upstream authority SKK Migas.

?Premier Oil will spud two wells, namely Singa Laut-1 in March 2014 and Kuda Laut-1 in June 2014,? said Head of Survey and Drilling Division at SKK Migas, Arief Fanzuri to Petromindo.com on Tuesday.

Arief said the firm will use the Ocean General rig, which is now being used in Vietnam, for the drilling.

The Tuna block is located offshore Natuna Island in the South China Sea. The block was awarded to the consortium of Premier Oil (65 percent) and Mitsui Oil Exploration (35 percent) early March 2007.
