Premier Oil, operator of the Tuna PSC in North Natuna Sea, signed last week a MoU on the sale of gas to Petrovietnam.

Upstream authority SKK Migas said in a statement on Tuesday the MoU was signed on the sidelines of the recent 2017 APEC Summit in Da Nang, Vietnam. ?The signing of the MoU is expected to provide certainty for the development of gas reserves in Tuna field,? SKK Migas Chief Amien Sunaryadi said.

Premier, which holds 65 percent interest in Tuna PSC, while partners MOECO holds 25 and GS Energy 15 percent, plans to develop the Tuna field, with on stream target in 2023.

The statement said that the gas from the Tuna field will be transmitted to the Nam Con Son Pipeline System in Vietnam via a cross border pipeline currently under construction.
