Premier spuds Gajah Baru-2 well

UK independent oil, gas producer Premier Oil announced recently that it had spudded Gajah Baru-2 appraisal well in West Natuna Block A PSC on 18 September 2004.

The well was drilled to further assess the extent of the gas reserves in this reservoir discovered in 2000.

The company did not give specific detail about depth target.

Premier Oil holds a 28.7 percent interest and operatorship in Natuna Block A, while the other participants, Kufpec of Kuwait, Amerada Hess, and Malaysia?s Petronas hold 33.3 percent, 23 percent, and 15 percent respectively.(alex)
