Premier starts Natuna exploration campaign

UK independent oil and gas company Premier Oil said on Friday that the company is currently drilling first of the two exploraton wells in its offshore Natuna Block A PSC area .

?The first Indonesian well - Kuda Nil - is currently drilling and the second - Binturong - is expected to commence in February,? said the company in a statement.

Natuna Block A, which exports gas to Singapore is operated by Premier with ownership shared among four co-venturers: Premier (28.7 percent), Kufpec (33.3 percent), Amerada Hess (23 percent) and Petronas (15 percent).(alex)
