President calls on regional top administrations to apply forest moratorium extension

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono asked governors and heads of districts to implement the rules stipulated in the presidential instruction on the extension of forest moratorium earlier this year. President Yudhoyono said that under the extension the administrations would have an opportunity to manage all aspects on the forest management.

?Implement the presidential instruction number 6, 2013 about the delay of issuance of new permits, and the improvement of primary forest management and pit land, I extended moratorium for (another) 2 years, they give an opportunity to manage (forest),? Yudhoyono told governors, head of districts and top officials in his speech at the State Palace. ?Therefore, be a pioneer, a good example in implementing the government regulations,? he said.
