President to choose directors general

President Joko Widodo is expected to decide on four new directors general at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources as well as secretary general of the National Energy Council in early April of this year, according to an official.

The ministry is looking for new officials to fill in the positions of directorate general of oil and gas; electricity; minerals and coal; and new renewable energy and energy conservation (EBTKE) and DEN secretary general.

There are now 31 candidates participating in the assessment tests and interview for the positions carried out by the ministry. The test and interview are now in progress since March 16 and will end on March 22.

?At end-March, the minister will propose three names for each of the positions to the Final Selection Team led by Vice President Jusuf Kalla. After that, the President will issue a presidential decree on the appointment of the new officials,? the ministry?s Secretary General Teguh Pamudji told Petromindo.com on Thursday.
