The processing platform at the Ruby gas field in the Sebuku block in East Kalimantan, which is operated by Pearl Oil (Sebuku) Ltd has been installed, paving the way for production next month.
?Currently, it?s at the stage of finalizing the hook up,? Deputy for Operation Control at the upstream authority SKK Migas, Muliawan told Petromindo.com Wednesday.
The Ruby gas field is designed to produce 214 bcf of gas for 10 years. The highest production rate of up to 100 mmscfd will last for four years, with output to come from six development wells of the Berai Formation. The field is expected to start production in October of this year at a rate of 100 mmscfd.
SKK Migas earlier said that the entire gas output from the Ruby field will be dedicated for the domestic market, particularly for the fertilizer companies, a key industry in the development of the food sector.
